LNZ (lamivudine, nevirapine and zidovudine) is a three-drug combination used to treat the HIV virus. When three or more medications are used together to treat HIV, it is called HAART (Highly Active AntiRetroviral Therapy). The combination of the medications from different drug classes works together to slow the growth and spread of the HIV virus in the blood by limiting the way that the virus reproduces. But this drug combination is not a cure for HIV and will not prevent HIV being passed to someone else.
Lamivudine and zidovudine are both in the drug class of nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors. Nevirapine is a non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor .Lamivudine Nevirapine Zidovudine Tablet is used for Hiv infection, Hiv-1 infection, Hepatitis b virus infection, Hiv infections and other conditions. Lamivudine Nevirapine Zidovudine Tablet may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.
